Building company culture with the help of AI

Building a company culture based on authentic connection: Can it be achieved (and even sped up) with the help of AI?
When leaders take the time to build genuine relationships with their employees, it can transform company culture. Employees are more likely to engage fully, collaborate openly, and go the extra mile—not because they have to, but because they want to.
So if relationships are the key to a thriving culture, the question becomes: How can leaders build and maintain those relationships at scale—especially in large, fast-moving organizations?
For many leaders, time is limited—and while the intention to connect is there, the capacity often isn’t. That’s where Lebra comes in.
Lebra Leadership is an AI-powered leadership platform that can enable organizational leaders to build and manage genuine connections with more people. But when AI is mentioned, some leaders pause. Can something as human as connection really be supported by AI? It’s a fair question—and honestly, I had the same concern when we first started developing Lebra.
Here’s what I’ve learned: AI can support authenticity. It’s all how you use it.
This isn't a new debate
The hesitation around technology isn’t new—it’s just dressed differently.
When the telephone was invented, people feared it would erode personal connection. Farmers at fence posts worried that hearing someone’s voice through a wire would never feel as real as face-to-face conversation.
Then came email. Then texting. Then social media. Each time, the same fear: “This will take the human out of it.”
But the truth is, every one of these tools is just that—a tool. How you use it is what determines whether it feels real or robotic.
AI-assisted, human-finished: The 80/20 rule of composing authentic messages
Lebra makes it easier to compose thoughtful messages quicky and consistently. Lebra, like any generative AI tool, gets you 80% of the way there. The remaining 20%? That’s you. You read the message, tweak it, and make sure it reflects your voice and your relationship with the person. The final message still requires your presence, attention, and care.
What you put in; you get out
With Lebra, quality of your messages depends on the quality of your input. If you and other organizational leaders don’t log meaningful insights about team members, the output may feel generic. But if you AND the other leaders in your organization use the tool the way it’s meant to be used—logging milestones, conversations, wins, personal stories—the messages become richer, more personal, and more human. And insights are seamlessly shared throughout the leadership team offering unmatched visibility and recognition for employees.
Deeper, not just more
This isn’t about just sending more messages—it’s about having better conversations.
Instead of small talk about the weather, you’ll have the context to ask about someone’s new baby, celebrate their recent achievement, or follow up on something they care about. You’re not replacing the relationship—you’re enriching it.
Think about it this way: you’re using a tool to be more thoughtful, not less. You’re choosing to prioritize the most valuable asset in your organization—your people. There’s nothing disingenuous about that. In fact, it shows intention and humility. You’re recognizing that building relationships at scale is hard—and you’re doing something about it.
Technology doesn’t make your relationships less real. It makes the work of relationship-building more possible.
And in a world where connection often feels like a luxury, isn’t that something worth embracing?
